A nonprofit – serving those who serve

Connecting Heroes to
Hope, Home & Support

We renovate homes, improve accessibility, and create safe housing for America's veterans, first responders, and the families who support them. Their service earned them a secure place to call home. We help make that possible.

Our impact to date

— Homes renovated
— Families housedTemporary & permanent
— ADA & smart homes
— Heroes & family members served

Our first year of figures is being audited now. We would rather show you nothing than show you an estimate — the real numbers post here as soon as they are verified.

Why we exist

The call doesn't end when the uniform comes off.

A retired firefighter can no longer manage the stairs at home. An Army sergeant comes back to a bathroom her wheelchair cannot access. A paramedic's family loses their lease just as his hours are reduced.

These needs rarely make headlines; they show up at home. Connections for Heroes meets them there with licensed contractors, trained case managers, and volunteers ready to work. We do more than offer advice: we repair homes, secure leases, install ramps, and follow up after the work is done.

  • Real impact, not empty symbolism. Every dollar helps provide hope, materials, labor, or direct assistance.
  • Whole family support. We include spouses, caregivers, and children in every plan.
  • Lasting connection. We check in after 30 days, 6 months, and one year—without exception.

What we do

Six programs, one promise: a safe place to live.

Each program stands on its own — and most families we serve move through more than one.

Home Renovations

Critical repairs, safety upgrades, and full rehabs for veterans and first responders whose homes have outpaced their ability to maintain them. Roofs, wiring, HVAC, mold, structural work — at no cost to the family.

Temporary & Permanent Housing

Emergency placement when available, transitional units with case management, and a pathway to permanent placement. We cover deposits, arrears, and the first months that make a lease stick.

ADA & Smart Home Renovations

Zero-step entries, roll-in showers, widened doorways, lowered counters, voice and app-controlled lighting, locks, and climate — so independence doesn't depend on someone else being home.

Property Development

We find, acquire, rehabilitate, and develop property to create housing that doesn't exist yet — apartments, multifamily housing, prefabricated homes, townhomes, and single-family builds. Placement only works if there is somewhere to place people.

Events & Awareness

5Ks, ruck marches, golf classics, gala nights, and station open houses — the events that fund the builds, recruit the volunteers, and keep these needs visible in the communities where they happen.

Family Support

Caregiver relief, benefits navigation, emergency essentials, holiday support, and peer connection for spouses and kids. The whole household serves, yet it is often the last to ask for help.

Story from the field

The families behind the work.

Awaiting content

Our first project stories will appear here.

As projects are completed, this space will carry the household's own account of the work — with their permission, in their words, and with their approval of the final text.

We will not publish a story before the family has agreed to it.

Testimonials will be added here.

Quotes from veterans, first responders, and family members will appear once each person has given written permission to share theirs.

How you can help

Three doors. All of them lead to a home.

Give

$100 stocks a welcome-home kit. $250 covers a night of emergency housing. Monthly gifts let us commit to a build before the money is in hand — which is how a family gets a start date instead of a maybe.

Show Up

Swing a hammer on a build day, run a supply drive, or lend a licensed trade. We train first-time volunteers on site — no experience needed, just a Saturday and a willingness to work.

Awaiting schedule

Our next events are being scheduled.

Dates, locations, and registration will be listed here as soon as they are confirmed. If you would like to host one in your community, we will help you run it.

Where your money goes

We publish where every dollar goes.

Each year, we publish our audited financials and Form 990. If you have questions about how funds are allocated, we'll answer them openly, because transparency is how we earn your trust.

Our program, fundraising, and administration breakdown publishes with our first audited financials. Until those are complete we are not putting a percentage on this page.
